How do I add someone to our family?
Open Settings and tap Send invite. They tap the link, install Kinfire if they need to, and their family comes up when they open the app. Nothing to type. iPhone and Android can be in the same family.
What is the Elder screen?
A simple screen with one big record button and large text, for anyone who would rather not deal with a full app. During setup, choose Elder for that person's phone. The second button on the Elder screen plays what the rest of the family said this week.
How do I open Settings on the Elder screen?
Press and hold the top of the screen for a few seconds until Settings opens.
When does the new question come out?
Every Sunday at midnight in your family's time zone. Kinfire sends one reminder on Sunday at 6 PM, and no other notifications.
Can I re-record my answer?
Yes, up to 3 tries per week. Your newest try replaces the old one.
Someone's answer is not showing up.
Make sure both phones are online, then pull down on the This Week screen to refresh. Answers recorded offline upload once the phone is back online.
I got a new phone.
On iPhone, restoring from a backup keeps you in your family. On Android, Google backup keeps you in your family on most phones. If it does not, tap the invite link again. Whoever started the family can remove the old copy of you in Settings.
Someone shows up twice in our family.
That happens when a phone is replaced without a backup. Whoever started the family can remove the old copy in Settings, under People in your family.
Who pays?
Only the person who started the family. If you joined with an invite and the app asks you to have someone renew, ask that person to check their subscription.
How do I cancel?
On iPhone: Settings, your name, Subscriptions. On Android: Google Play, your profile, Payments and subscriptions, Subscriptions.
How do I delete my data?
In Kinfire's Settings, choose "Delete my answers" or "Leave the family and delete my data." The person who started the family can also delete the whole family. Details are in the privacy policy.
